Outdoor Recreation It’s here all year! Outdoor enthusiasts enjoy the area all year long. Lake Oahe is part of the Missouri River reservoir system. It follows a 230 mile course from south of Bismarck ND, to 6 miles north of Pierre, SD. Beaver Creek Bay is located on either side of the scenic Lewis and Clark Trail (Highway 1804) and is adjacent to Bosch’s Bayside Resort. Lake Oahe is known nationally for its’ great Walleye fishing. The professional Walleye Trail Championship has been held here five years – 1996, 1997, 1998, 2000 and again in 2001. Northern Pike, Crappie and Bass also abound in these waters. Fishing continues throughout the year which includes ice fishing. There is a variety of wildlife for the hunters in south central North Dakota. Whether it’s duck, goose, grouse, partridge, pheasant, turkey or deer, you can experience it all and explore the natural beauty of the land.
